La Caserne Chanzy Hotel & Spa, Autograph Collection

Drinking cocktails and dining in front of the Notre-Dame de Reims is an experience to be cherished. The menu at the Restaurant - La Grande Georgette - is exceptional but often booked out. If you want to eat there (as the hotel will warn you), please be prepared to reserve in advance. The staff are great and the concierge service very helpful. There is a tourist information center just round the corner. The location is very central and easy to navigate. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom beautifully appointed. Three days here passed very smoothly.

The hotel overlooks Reims Cathedral, which is a fantastic location. We had a room looking out onto the cathedral, which was worth the extra money. The room itself was decorated and furnished in an upscale modern and chic style and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The mini-bar was well-stocked if a little expensive (when are they not?). However, we would have liked some fresh milk for tea in the morning, which was sadly conspicuous by its absence. Unfortunately, we weren't staying long enough to try the spa so can't comment on that. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. All in all a great place to stop off on the way home. Incidentally, we were driving and didn't use the hotel's off-site parking facilities. We parked overnight for free (it being Saturday/Sunday) on Rue des Tournelles, which is just behind the cathedral.

The location was great, the beds were comfortable.

The hotel literally faces the Cathedral and was perfect for the exploration on foot of Reims. The hotel has the air of luxury with impressive reception and hidden snugs for reading, drinks or relaxation.

The view of the cathedral was exceptional! Perfect position to view the cathedral’s light show. The location could not have been better!
